To mark its 80th anniversary, the United Nations is hosting a special exhibition featuring over 200 inspiring stories from its 193 member countries, including Afghanistan. These stories offer a vivid, human-centered look at the UN’s role in the everyday lives of people across the globe, especially in Afghanistan.
In a statement released on Thursday, October 23, the UN said:
“Whether you live in a mountain village in Afghanistan or in New York City, the United Nations system is part of your life in ways you might not expect.”
Organized by the UN Department of Global Communications in partnership with the permanent missions of Italy, Slovenia, and Switzerland, the exhibition highlights how the UN’s work — from peacekeeping and security to humanitarian aid and sustainable development — profoundly impacts people’s lives.
The first 24 selected stories are on display at the UN Headquarters in New York, with additional stories to be released gradually through December 2025. Among these are powerful accounts from Afghanistan, showcasing the resilience of its people in pursuit of peace, education, and reconstruction.
This exhibition serves as a reminder that the UN’s mission transcends borders, continuing to inspire hope and cooperation among people worldwide.

Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
A very pleasant read overall. It carries the kind of far-reaching message that fits tourism conversations, sparks vacation ideas, encourages adventure, and even makes the reader think about the small realities of a flight and useful mini accessories.
Thanks for sharing. I read many of your blog posts, cool, your blog is very good.
