I am an Afghan woman, a human rights and media activist, forced to flee to Iran due to Taliban threats, detention, and torture for my work. Returning to Afghanistan under Taliban rule would mean certain death, violating the principle of non-refoulement under the 1951 Refugee Convention.
In Iran, my family faces a dire crisis. The Iranian police arrested and brutally beat my husband in front of our two-year-old child outside a bakery. This traumatic event has left my child severely distressed, screaming constantly and waking up in terror at night. We have been given only 20 days to leave Iran, but I have nowhere safe to go.
I have an asylum application pending in Germany, but for over a year, I have received no response. I had hoped to find safety and peace, but the delay has left us in limbo. I urgently appeal to human rights organizations, the German government, and all who value justice to:
- Prevent our forced deportation from Iran.
- Expedite the processing of my asylum case in Germany.
- Provide urgent medical and psychological support for my traumatized child.
Please hear my voice and act swiftly to save my family’s lives. Share our story and help us find safety!
