
Sources in Kabul report that Taliban’s Department for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Amr bil Maroof wa Nahi Anil Munkar) officials in hospitals are halting patients’ surgical procedures and taking doctors for religious exams.
On Wednesday, 26th September, sources confirmed to 8am Newspaper that Taliban virtue enforcement officers have begun administering religious tests to government employees.
According to sources, at Muhammad Ali Jinnah Hospital, Taliban officers removed doctors from ongoing surgeries to conduct religious exams.
Sources add that patients have faced serious challenges during this time and have experienced severe pain.
Information from sources indicates that virtue enforcement officers also interfere with government employees in their offices.
Sources emphasize that these officers show no respect for professional ethics while interrupting government staff in the course of their duties.
It is worth noting that the Taliban hold religious exams for government employees twice a year, scrutinizing their beliefs and convictions.
