Afghanistan Women’s Justice Movement

Afghanistan Women’s Justice Movement is a civil organization led by women volunteers and all its members are women. This organization was created after the events of August 15, 2021, when the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan and imposed many restrictions on women and civil activists.

The purpose of this women’s movement is to protest the Taliban’s anti-women policy, and in fact, the beginning of this movement for the women members of this organization is the beginning of a continuous and never-ending activity to fight for women to achieve their true position in the Afghan society. A struggle that has just begun and is never ending, and in any government in Afghanistan that comes to power, this struggle for women’s rights will continue.

The main goals of the Afghanistan Women’s Justice movement can be summarized in three sentences:

Ensuring women’s rights,

Increasing women’s participation,

Increasing women’s capacity

The founders of this movement are all its members, and in November 2022, the members of this movement elected 5 people as their leadership board for one year through free elections. These five people are: Sabira Akbari, Hoda Khamosh, Shahla Arefi, Soraya Haqyar, and Rahila Ansari Talash.
